WHAT IS DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY (DMD)?

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is an inherited disorder that involves rapidly-worsening muscle weakness. It occurs in approximately 1 out of every 3,600 male infants, although female infants could be carries too. As this is an inherited disorder, risks include a family history of DMD. WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?

The symptoms for DMD include mental retardation, muscle weakness, difficulty with motor skills, and frequent falls. These symptoms occur before the victim turns 6, and may gradually continue to worsen. By the time the patient reaches age 10, he may need braces to aid walking, or may not be able to walk at all.

CONVENTIONAL TREATMENT

There is no known cure for DMD. Treatment aims to control the symptoms is order to improve the quality of the victim's life. Activity is encouraged, as remaining inactive could worsen DMD. Physical therapy may be helpful to maintain muscle strength and function. Orthopaedic appliances (such as braces and wheelchairs) may improve mobility. Gene therapy may also become available in the future.

     Stemcell_Treatment
  • Capacity of stem cells for extensive proliferation and multiplication
  • Effortless differentiation into desired cell type or tissue
  • Effective integration into the surrounding tissue after transplant
  • Function well for approximately the duration of the recipient's life
  • Avoid harming the recipient in any way
  • Ease of administration

In fact, stem cells offered by Adiva are 'selectively immunodepleted' (devoid of antigenic or disease producing potential) and can be safely utilised for the entire gamut of disorders without any possibility of side effects or GvHD.

STEM CELL TREATMENT
CAN CURE THE INCURABLE

Numerous clinical trials recognise the potential of using stem cells to treat stroke victims. we, at adiva, offer you stem cell therapy using our proprietary technology. these stem cells could be of various types viz. hematopoietic (cd 34++), mesenchymal stem cells (mscs) that are processed and isolated using good manufacturing practices (gmp) and good lab practices (glp) in accordance with aabb standards.

These stem cells could be of various types, viz. hematopoietic (cd 34+), mesenchymal stem cells (mscs) that are processed and isolated using good manufacturing practices (gmp) and good lab practices (glp) in accordance with aabb standards.

These stem cells are procured from various sources including bone marrow, cord blood, fat etc. as per the requirement of the patient. the basic aim of stem cell therapy is to prolong life and improve the quality of life since no other treatment helps in dmd. stem cell therapy has shown to form new muscle fibers and improve the strength of muscles.

Early treatment is advisable because stem cell therapy can prevent rapid deterioration of strength in muscles. therapy also helps avoid the patient's dependence on support for walking & other activities.

Adiva is now supremely confident of not only reversing the disease process of the affected patient but also improving the quality of life manifold.
